Collection: Distilled Essential Oils

We extract our distilled essential oils from local trees, herbs, fruits, flowers and spices. Our still, made in Greece, follows a traditional design that has remained consistent through centuries. In steam distillation, unpressurized steam is created from water boiling at the bottom at the still. This steam passes through 30-50kg of tightly packed plant material. This extracts the water and essential oil from the plant cells, and then passes in a coil cooling system. The vapor returns to return temperature and condenses back into a liquid. We collect this liquid in a separator, and the oil and water form distinct layers. We then remove the water and oil separately. We let the oil mature for a period of time, to allow it to settle and any “still notes” to dissipate, and then we bottle it. Each bottle contains just the pure essence of the plant. No additives or preservatives.

We harvest plants at the peak of their potency, and every material has its unique requirements, in when they are harvested, how they are prepared, how long their are distilled, and the length of time for them to mature. We are constantly learning and trying new techniques and plant material. We have produced over 30 types of oils, and have many essential oils that are familiar are well-known (lavender, lemongrass, and rosemary) and others that are quite unusual and rare (wild peppermint, wild terebinth, and wild pine (Pinus brutia)

We welcome you to try our oils, and enjoy the smells of Cyprus!
