Our Wild Fennel Essential Oil (Foeniculum vulgare) is sourced from wild plants we harvest from the coastal areas of Larnaca district, at the end of summer. Our latest batch was distilled in August 2025, from the stalks and flowering tops.
If you like ouzo you're gonna love the smell of this essential oil 🌿! The essential oil is a place color, with a sweet spicy smell.
Sweet Fennel blooms from April to August and can be found in most of the landscapes of Cyprus, especially on river banks, roadsides, field edges, in barren and rather wet areas.Â
Fennel is a common ingredient in liquors and medicaments. It also gives a nice fragrance in various dishes and its seeds are used as a spice in pickling and seasoning.
It is included, both the plant and its seeds, in several home remedies. Many members of the church used the seeds as an appetite suppressant, to get them through the days of fasting. In traditional medicine, Fennel was used to relieve bloating and other digestive problems, mitigate muscle pain and support breastmilk production in nursing moms. It is also an expectorant.
Fennel essential oil can be used sparingly in cooking instead of the herb.
When used with a carrier oil, Fennel Essential Oil can help relieve digestive and respiratory problems. In addition, Fennel is a natural cleanser and can help heal skin irritations.
Product Information:
All of our products are made with 100% natural extracts. As nature is diverse, each plant is unique, leading to variations in color and fragrance of our essential oils, seed and nut oils, and extracts.
