Grapefruit Peel Essential Oil

Our Grapefruit (Citrus x paradisi) Peel Essential Oil has been cold-pressed and not distilled. Because the citrus essential oils are very volatile, heat and steam distillation does not concentrate the full aroma of the citrus peel. Most citrus essential oils of the market are a byproduct of the juice factories. Our cold-pressed Grapefruit Peel Essential Oil, is the main product during this process. Finally, after peeling the fruits and cold-pressing the peels, we juice the citrus fruits and collect the seeds so nothing goes to waste.

Our latest batches of Grapefruit Peel Essential Oil were produced in October and November 2025, from organic grapefruits growing near Nicosia. It takes a small army of volunteers, and an entire day to produce a few hundred ml of precious essential oil! We start by washing and drying the fruits, and peeling them one-by-one. The peels are fed into our expeller, and we use several mechanical means to isolate the essential oil from the remaining emulsion.

Grapefruits, like all citrus, are known for their cleansing and uplifting effect. Grapefruit is particularly prized for its detoxifying and astringent properties.

Expressed Citrus Peel Essential Oils can cause photosensitivity, and should be diluted with care before applying to the skin. Avoid sun exposure.
