About us

Liven is a small producer of essential oils, cold-pressed seed and nut oils, and natural botanical products — made in Cyprus from locally grown and wild-harvested plants. We are two people from different backgrounds, united by a shared interest in plants, extraction, and making products that are genuinely worth making.

Liven was founded in Sri Lanka in 2015, producing essential oils, food-grade carrier oils, spices, herbs and cosmetics from the island's unique natural resources. In 2020 we expanded to Oman, developing several oils native to that region. In 2022, our operations relocated to Cyprus — a Mediterranean island with an extraordinary diversity of wild plants, a long tradition of botanical knowledge, and a climate that produces some of the most aromatic herbs and seeds in the world. In September of that year we began producing and marketing cold-pressed oils, distilled essential oils, and other natural products using sustainably-sourced local seeds, nuts, and wild plants.

We are based in Maroni, a village between Larnaca and Limassol, in the foothills above the southern coast. We harvest, source from small family farms, cold-press, and steam-distil in small batches — working seasonally, with whatever the land produces. No additives. No shortcuts.
