Stainless steel distillation unit for producing essential oils

Some production updates

Hi everyone!! Thank you for following or work, or if this is your first time seeing our website and blog, we're glad you're here! It's a very busy time of year for us, this coming two weeks we are distilling the fall batches of Cyprus sage, lemongrass and Rose Geranium, and we are very grateful that our suppliers have caught up with demand, and now we expect to keep these three oils in stock year-round, and hopefully even have some extra for resale/wholesale.

This week we are starting the cold-pressing of citrus peel essential oils, first up is red grapefruit. We will have some juice to sell, too, although because we process them a bit early in the season it might be a bit more bitter than expected. Next week we expect to do another batch of grapefruit and then hopefully switch to lemons. We process most of the citrus fruits early in the season than if they were harvested for juice or to be sold as whole fruits. This is because the essential oil is more potent when the fruits are younger, and whereas most of the citrus peel essential oil production worldwide is done to capture the byproduct from juice production, for us it's in reverse. We will announce some volunteer days in our WhatsApp group, we always need extra help with peeling and juicing the fruits when we're processing the citrus! We promise it's a fun experience, the place smells like heaven, of course we love essential oils in the bottle but there's nothing like the fresh smell during the extraction process!

This week we will receive delivery of a large quantity of pomegranate seeds. In the past few years we've had limited supplies of these seeds, it's a lot of work to process! Now we're pleased that a supplier who makes juice, is happy to collaborate with us in washing and drying the seeds, so we will have enough quantities for our blends, to sell it retail, and for wholesale/resale. Pomegranate seed oil is very special and great for the face, and we can't wait to share the fresh batch!

We are still looking for a supplier for prickly pear seeds, and this year we're hopeful to do batches of sumac seed and bay laurel berry. If you have these or are willing to help harvest them, please get in touch!

Our shop is still under construction, but we'll be organizing 1-2 events a month at the factory, workshops and/or tours and tastings. We can accommodate private groups, so if the dates we announce don't suit you please get in touch to arrange a visit!

Happy Fall!
