Our springtime essential oils are ready!

Spring in Cyprus is one of our favorite times of year, and due to the extra rain we received in the first few months of 2026 the land is extra green, and the plants and trees are extra happy! In the past three years of drought we noticed that our springtime herbs were ready earlier and earlier each year for distillation, but this year it took them a bit longer to flower, due to the rain and relative cold. Our springtime trio, Cyprus Sage, Rose Geranium, and Wild (Cypriot) Lavender, are some of our most popular essential oils, and we always distill exactly at their peak point of flowering around the end of March or early April.

Now, after letting them sit for a few weeks, we've put them in bottles and they are ready to share! This year we were a bit more efficient, as we were able to use our new still, so we could do bigger batches and produce more oil. Still, our challenge is now to find more growers for some of the herbs and plants that are most popular, as we don't want to over harvest what's available in the wild, and our current growers have maxed out what they can provide us!

This is a good problem, but it's still a problem! So if you're in Cyprus and have some extra space that you wouldn't mind using to grow herbs, get in touch with us! Herbs can be planted under existing trees like citrus and olive, they don’t even need their own rows!
