Bring your used Liven glass bottles back to us!

Cyprus has been famous for its botanicals for over 4,000 years, but it has always imported bottles to hold its aromatic oils from abroad. We are proud that our lineup of products are made entirely from local raw materials, both for the sake of quality and purity, but also to avoid the excess expenditure of energy that comes from extra packaging and transport across large distances. That said, we’ve been importing our glass bottles from Northern Europe, by plane and by sea, and until now we have not been able to effectively clean and reuse them, aside from refilling the same product for the same customer. Our products are very strong in smell and texture, and everyone knows how difficult it is to ensure a dark bottle with a narrow neck is fully clean from oil. Also, we know that simply putting them in the recycling bin is not an effective use of resources, and most likely those bottles are not effectively brought back into use.

We’re pleased to announce that in our new facility in Maroni, we have installed machines capable of washing and sterilizing for reuse the bottles in our lineup of products. Furthermore, we have installed solar panels and are working on a rainwater collection system, so that the energy and water required to wash the bottles is not an extra cost or wasted resource. Unfortunately, it is not possible to wash and sterilize the caps, pumps, sprayers, and essential oil reducers/caps for reuse. So while we can take back empty bottles, we cannot process those and have to continue to provide new ones, to ensure the safety and quality of the product.
