Big Plans for 2026!

Just after the new year, we had a burst of production to finish the citrus peel essential oils for the season (distilled mandarin and expressed bergamot were the last batches). Now, we are taking a bit of a breather, and regrouping to plan for the coming year. A big part of this effort is that we’re updating our website, with more pictures and information that we gathered over the past year, and creating a new WhatsApp group to share our activities and events with our community. Of course we’ll continue to post on Instagram and Facebook as well. We are also starting this blog, for those interested in learning about more about our production, the raw materials we source (and from where, and who), and more technical information (and random facts) about our oils and products.

We’re Expanding! 

One of our main goals for 2026 is to continue to increase our production capacity, which means solving existing bottlenecks in growing, harvesting and preparation of raw materials, with manual labor and/or with machines. It’s a step-by-step process, solving one challenge shifts the slowdown to another area that needs to be solved! But we enjoy the complexity.

In 2025, we started to produce bigger quantities of essential oil from rosemary and pine, based on the availability of the raw materials and demand from abroad. But that meant many many distillations per day, over many days! So Jared is in Thessaloniki meeting with the manufacturer of our still to explore options for expansion of our capacity. Theofilos Pavlidis - Halkos is a wonderful family business that is now operated by the fourth generation. Admittedly most of their stills are for Zivania and Tsipouro use, but we’re very happy with the quality and usability of their stills, and we think the essential oils being produced are pretty good too!
