Our Oregano Grapeseed Oil combines dried Cypriot oregano (Origanum dubium) with white grapeseed oil. We source our oregano from two suppliers in Troodos mountains, and the grapeseed from a winery in Kato Drys. Our special production technique, at 40 degrees Celsius, ensures that more elements of the oregano are extracted compared to adding essential oil (where the extraction temperature is 100 degrees Celsius), or with maceration.
Unlike consumption of the essential oil in water or by itself (which is not recommended!!) our oregano grapeseed oil can be consumed as-is and without dilution, and it won’t burn your throat or mouth! We recommend using it as a finishing oil for food, just like you’d use the dried spice. It goes quite well on top of pizza and pasta, soups and stews. You can also add it to meat and fish as a marinade or after cooking as a condiment.
Our oregano grapeseed oil, like all of our products, contains no additives or preservatives. Keep in a cool, dark place, or refrigerate if this is not possible.
