Citrus Seed Oil

Our Citrus Seed Oil is pressed from a combination of lemon, mandarin, bergamot and bitter orange seeds. The majority of our seeds are sourced from a jam and spoon sweet factory in Agros. The team there saves the seeds after juicing a few tons of fruit to make squash and other products, and they wash and dry them for our use. We also save the seeds from our batches of essential oil production, and we wash and dry them either in the sun or dehydrator depending on the weather. We press the seeds in our expeller at a temperature between 30-40 degrees Celsius. 

Citrus seed oil can be easily confused with its (more famous) essential oil counterparts! But actually citrus seed oil is a base oil, that can be used for skin and massage. It’s edible, but the taste is quite bitter. It is a mellow yellow color, and has a sweet smell that some say resembles apple juice. It tends to thicken and solidify at cooler temperatures, due to its fatty acid composition. Citrus seed oil is one of our thicker oils, taking a bit longer to go into the skin (while not feeling greasy). It’s excellent for massage, winter months and blended with other oils to achieve the desired texture.

Product Information:

All of our products are made with 100% natural extracts. We add 2% moringa oil to our citrus seed oil for its antioxidant effect. As nature is diverse, each plant is unique, leading to variations in color and fragrance of our essential oils, seed and nut oils, and extracts.

Caution & Care:

Store in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight and heat. If that is not possible, please refrigerate. Do not use if allergic to any ingredients. Always conduct a patch test before applying to the skin.
